DMCA Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Road Ready Picks respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same from anyone who uses our site. We write our own text, and we use images that we created, licensed, or are permitted to use. If you believe something on our site infringes your copyright, we will review it promptly.

This policy follows the notice-and-takedown process described in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

How to file a copyright notice

Send a written notice to our designated agent (contact details below). To be valid, your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is acceptable.
  3. The exact URL(s) on roadreadypicks.com where the material appears, so we can locate it.
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Please note that knowingly making false claims of infringement may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we will:

  • remove or disable access to the material identified,
  • make a reasonable effort to notify the person who supplied the material (for example, a commenter), and
  • keep a record of the notice.

We aim to act within 3 business days.

Counter-notice

If you believe material you supplied was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice that includes:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. A description of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We will remove user-submitted content, such as comments, from anyone who repeatedly infringes copyrights.
