Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Road Ready Picks (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit roadreadypicks.com (the “Site”). We collect as little personal information as we can to run the Site.
Road Ready Picks is operated by the Road Ready Picks editorial team.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, use our contact form or leave a comment, we receive what you send, such as your name, email address and message. Comments may also store your IP address and browser details to help prevent spam.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and service providers automatically record technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit.
Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies needed for the Site to work and stay secure.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4, which tells us in aggregate which pages are read and how visitors find us. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Usage analytics by Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors scroll and click (sensitive fields are masked) so we can improve page layout. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- We do not run third-party display advertising on the Site at this time.
2. Affiliate links and Amazon
The Site contains affiliate links to Amazon.com. When you click one, you leave our Site and Amazon may set its own cookies to record that you arrived from us, so we can be credited for qualifying purchases. We do not receive your name, payment details or order contents from Amazon; we only see aggregated reports such as the number of clicks and items ordered. Amazon’s handling of your data is governed by Amazon’s own privacy notice.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain and secure the Site;
- reply to your messages and correction requests;
- moderate comments and prevent spam and abuse;
- understand which content is helpful and improve it;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, under their own terms, including:
- Security and content delivery: Cloudflare, Inc. (protects the Site and may process IP addresses and set security cookies)
- Analytics: Google LLC, through Google Analytics 4 (collects pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services)
- Usage analytics: Microsoft Corporation, through Microsoft Clarity (collects pseudonymous interaction data such as clicks, scrolling and device type)
- Email: Cloudflare Email Routing, which forwards messages sent to us
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a transfer of the Site to a new owner.
5. Data retention
We keep messages for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Approved comments remain until removed. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of the tool we use.
6. Your choices and rights
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some features work.
- Global Privacy Control: Where required by law, we treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information.
- Access, correction and deletion: Depending on where you live (for example, California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, or the European Economic Area and the UK), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States and Vietnam. Those countries may have different data protection laws.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures such as HTTPS, a web application firewall and limited administrator access to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Third-party websites
Our Site links to other websites, including Amazon and manufacturers’ sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, post a notice on the Site.
